Your Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for the 2027–2028 School Year
Welcome to St. Pius X School! Whether you're a new family exploring St. Pius X for the first time or a current Sartan family applying for ANOTHER child, we're excited to help you through the admissions process.
Current students do not need to reapply. Re-enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year will open in January 2027 for returning students.
Here's everything you need to know to get started!
STEP 1: Start Your Application
Applications for the 2027–2028 school year are NOW OPEN!
All prospective students must complete an admissions application, including siblings of current students.
Which application should I use?
- New Families: If you do not currently have a child attending St. Pius X, START HERE.
- Current Sartan Families: If you already have a child attending St. Pius X and are applying for ANOTHER child, START HERE.
Our admissions process is managed through Veracross, where you can complete your application and track your progress.
STEP 2: Gather Your Student's Records
As part of your application, you will need:
- Report cards from the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 school years. 1st Quarter grades of the 2026-2027 school year.
- The name and email address of your child's current school registrar, administrator, or appropriate school contact.
Good news! Our Veracross system can automatically email your child's current school to request records. The school can securely submit documents directly to our Admissions Office. AND You can monitor the status of these requirements in your application portal.
STEP 3: Schedule Your Placement Exam
This is one of the most important steps!
Students applying for grades 6–9 are required to complete placement testing. We offer testing and campus tours on select Thursdays and some Fridays.
Choose the option that works best for your family:
- Campus Tour + Full Placement Exam: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Full Placement Exam Only: 10:30 AM–1:00 PM
- Writing Assessment Only: 10:30–11:00 AM
The full placement exam includes mathematics, reading, and writing.
IMPORTANT: If your child's current school administers the Renaissance STAR assessments, your child only needs to complete our writing assessment. Students applying for grades 10–12 do not need to complete placement testing.

STEP 4: Check Your Application Progress
Once you've started your application, you can log back into Veracross at any time to:
- Complete outstanding application requirements.
- Upload requested documents.
- Check whether your child's school records have been received.
- Monitor the progress of your application.
Already completed a placement exam? Our Admissions Office will upload your results to your application checklist. You do not need to take the exam again. We will take it from here!
STEP 5: Admissions Review
Once your application requirements have been completed, your student's application will be ready for review by our Admissions Committee. Our Admissions Office will communicate additional information and next steps as the review process progresses.
Please remember that submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
