St. Pius X Students Excel in Regional Chemistry Olympiad Competition

SPX Chemistry students

Juniors Madelyn Garcia and Madison Veronica Sanchez participated in the rigorous academic competition, which included a challenging standardized exam along with a series of hands-on laboratory activities designed to assess students’ knowledge and application of chemistry.

Both Madelyn and Madison performed exceptionally well and were selected to advance to the next stage of the competition, the national level exam. They will compete again on April 18 at the University of New Mexico.

Results from the national exam will determine the top 20 students from across the country who will advance to the next round. From there, four students will ultimately be selected to represent the United States at the International Chemistry Olympiad this summer.

Congratulations to Madelyn and Madison on this outstanding academic achievement and for representing St. Pius X with excellence.
