Finals Week Traffic Alert: Intersection Construction to Impact Lanes Near Campus

Dear St. Pius Families,

Please plan ahead when arriving for finals next week.  We have been informed by the contractors working on the intersection near school that they are finishing the project. However, they now are installing new lights which will impact how many lanes are open.

Here are the specifics by day:

  • 12/15/25 – After peak 9am - NB Mast arm to be set – NB, SB and All RH lanes at all 4 corners of intersection will be closed – use of shadow truck to drop NB traffic to 1 lane when Mast arm is being set up (this will be a short period of time while this task is being done) Once mast arm is installed traffic will then be opened back up to two NB lanes through lanes– PER TCP # 069177
  • 12/16/25 - After peak 9am - SB Mast arm to be set – NB, SB and All RH lanes at all 4 corners of intersection will be closed – use of shadow truck to drop SB traffic to 1 lane when Mast arm is being set up (this will be a short period of time while this task is being done) Once mast arm is installed traffic will then be opened back up to two SB through lanes-PER TCP #069177
  • 12/17 – 12/22 we will keep all right-hand lanes closed for various MWI operations – Various operations to include EB & WB St. Josephs mast arm installation as well as wiring throughout intersection - MWI will have crews working at least 2 corners at any given time – this is why we need to keep all RH lanes closed

Since the traffic pattern will change for a few days, we ask that you plan ahead since students do not want to be late for their finals. It is better to be early rather than late.

So, get your materials ready the night before, or leave the house earlier than usual.

Thank you,

Michael Deely

Head of School
