Performing Arts
Performing arts are celebrated and appreciated at St. Pius. While the arts encourage creativity and opportunities for personal growth, there are also benefits to the whole person. Numerous studies have shown that studying music, whether through playing a musical instrument or singing, increases the ability to hear, focus, and remember.
Drama helps students develop skills such as oral communication, leadership, collaboration, and personal expression. Technical theatre exposes students to every aspect of theatrical design and production, including set construction, lighting, sound, and costume construction.
Performance skills increase academic performance, and the fine arts program builds self-esteem and the formation of the whole student.
