The Cynthia and Manuel '65 Chavez Alumni Plaza

October 2024 Update: Construction is underway for the Cynthia and Manuel '65 Chavez Alumni Plaza, with preparations underway for the installation of grass and plants. The anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony is coming soon, and we look forward to celebrating the completion of this exciting project. We will keep you informed on the official opening date.

The  Cynthia and Manuel '65 Chavez Alumni Plaza, covering 2 acres between the school cafeteria and Stage 1 of St. Cecilia Hall, will feature a spacious grassy area, trees, sidewalks, perimeter walking paths, integrated seating, a brick dining area, and much more! The Alumni Plaza will serve as an outdoor gathering space for our students and can also be reserved for alumni reunions. We are offering commemorative bricks for sale, which will be placed in a prominent spot within the plaza.

The St. Pius X School Alumni Plaza is coming to life! The newly poured concrete sets the stage for a vibrant entertainment area. Walkways and a spacious grassy area are beginning to emerge, with borders now defining the layout. At the heart of the plaza, the commemorative brick circle is taking shape, with bricks from SPX's historic Louisiana campus anchoring a stucco seat wall. This thoughtful design captures the breathtaking Sandia Mountain views, offering a perfect gathering spot on campus. The entire project is on track for completion by late November, and we can't wait to share it with our community.
