Students are working hard in Information Technology. Everyone has finished some coding and website building activities. All classes have been working with Photoshop recently and will soon start some graphics projects. Mr. Hudetz has also included some video editing instruction using Apple’s “Garage Band” application. He is shown below playing the guitar while students record.
DECA is off to a great start this year. Each student has begun the work study program in an effort to raise money for our program and for various St. Pius projects. All students are encouraged to sign up and work concessions this fall.
This past month DECA students received a surprise visit from Danny Montoya '00, vice president of Gizmo Beverages based in Los Angeles, Calif. Danny is a founder of “Tea of a Kind” and has been a very successful entrepreneur with the project. Students have also been able to speak with Kris Hansen, franchiser of U Swirl Frozen Yogurt and Texas Meltz Restaurants, and Joe Ambrogi and Zach Erickson, sales reps from Admiral Beverage. If any parents in the SPX community would like to be a guest speaker for our DECA or Business Law class, please contact Ms. Dow via email at email@example.com.
