On Saturday, May 14 the St. Pius X Sartans baseball team finished the 2022 season by lifting the blue trophy. The Sartans won the championship game against their biggest rivals the AA Chargers. The Sartans won 15-2 and mercy ruled the Chargers, ending the game in 5 innings.
The Sartans were led by senior pitcher Nolan Esterly who gave up only 4 hits in 5 innings. Nolan also hit a single, a double, and a triple with 4 RBIs!! What a performance. Great job Nolan and the St. Pius X Sartans.
Seniors Jordan Rodriguez and Christian Nelson graduate two-time state baseball champions. They were a part of the 2019 Championship team.
