Brad Sedillo earns Eagle Scout Honor

Bradley R. Sedillo was presented with Scouting's high honor, Eagle Scout, October 11, at The Hibben House by the Great Southwest Council, Boy Scouts of America has announced.
 
He is the son of Robert G. and Linda M. Sedillo of Albuquerque. Brad is a member of Boy Scout Troop 97, chartered by John the 23rd Catholic Church and his scoutmaster is Mr. Larry Gonzales.
 
In order to achieve the rank of Eagle, Brad earned 21 merit badges and showed leadership by planning, developing, and completing a community service project. For his project, Brad restored and re-charted the county owned portion of Fairview Cemetery in Albuquerque.
 
Brad attends St. Pius X High School where he is active in Student Council as the freshman class President, Campus Ministries and Cross Country. He is the freshman recipient of the English Merit Scholarship Award.
 
In addition to scouting, Brad is also involved in Our Lady of the Assumption as an alter server and the Youth Ministry. The rank of Eagle is earned by less than four percent of all youth who join Boy Scouts of America.
